State Homeschool Law re: Graduation Requirements
South Dakota Codified Law 13-27-3 requires homeschoolers to receive "instruction in the basic skills of language arts and mathematics", and "all instructions shall be given so as to lead to a mastery of the English language" as the sole requirements for graduation. The state doesn't approve curriculum, supervise instruction, certify instructors, or require any form of testing.
State public schools require 22 units of credit to graduate high school (SD Administrative Rule 24:43:11:02).
